Four procedures of oil casing pipe heat treatment process

1、Annealing:

 

Annealing is to heat the workpiece to an appropriate temperature,adopt different holding time according to the material and workpiece size,and then slowly cool it,so as to make the internal structure of the metal reach or close to the equilibrium state,obtain good process performance and service performance,or make organizational preparation for further quenching.

 

2、Normalizing:

 

Normalizing is to heat the workpiece to a suitable temperature and then cool it in the air.The effect of normalizing is similar to that of annealing,except that the microstructure obtained is finer.It is often used to improve the cutting performance of materials,and sometimes used as the final heat treatment for some parts with low requirements.

 

3、Quenching:

 

Quenching is to rapidly cool the workpiece in water,oil or other inorganic salts,organic aqueous solutions and other quenching media after heating and insulation.After quenching,the steel becomes hard but brittle at the same time.

 

4、Tempering:

 

Tempering In order to reduce the brittleness of steel parts,the quenched steel parts are kept for a long time at an appropriate temperature higher than room temperature but lower than 750℃,and then cooled.This process is called tempering.

 

The existing heat treatment process of steel grade Oil Casing Pipe has poor hardenability of heat treated products during processing,the mechanical properties of steel pipes are not good enough,and the protective bending effect is not good,which is easy to break.

 

The heat treatment of oil casing pipe needs to be strictly carried out.The oil casing pipe produced has good product quality and performance.It shows good use value and performance in use.It adheres to high strength and toughness.Heat treatment is carried out in different ways.

 

At the same time,the low temperature quenching is lower than the conventional temperature,which reduces the quenching stress,thus reducing the quenching deformation,so that the production of Oil Casing Pipe heat treatment can be operated smoothly,and provides good raw materials for subsequent wire turning processing.
